One Touch Electric Stairway:

The 21st century technology designed for a more efficient home storage solution and improved home value was recently redesigned to accommodate all retrofits. After many requests for the ability to retrofit rough openings of 54” and provide remote control operation, the transformation was made.

The One-Touch stairway is a fully electrically controlled stairway, 110 VAC, 5 AMPS via a remote or the toggle switch in the room below. There is a fixed toggle switch on the frame in the attic or loft space. Pressing and holding the buttons of the remote or flipping the toggle switch Up or Down, drives the stairway to its fully up/retracted position or to its fully extended down position. When the stairway is fully retracted, the motor automatically stops even if the operator is still depressing the remote or the toggle switch.

One-Touch Electric Attic Stairs are fitted with a manual brake release which purpose is to automatically bring, through gravity, the stairway to its extended position in case of electrical failure.

One-Touch is made of silver anodized high strength extruded aluminum which provides stability, ease and safety of utilization. This superior and sophisticated stairway can also be used to substitute stairs in a loft to add privacy and additional room space below.

With an installation range of 8’-16’, and rough opening lengths of 54”, 60”, 61” and 65”, widths of 22.5”, 25.5” and 30”, One-Touch is in a league of its own in the marketplace.

Meets requirements of ANSI-ASC A14,9-2010.

The 18mm plywood used on the One-Touch Electric Attic Stairway is treated with Flame Stop fire retardant which meets the UL standards for the designation of FRS Rating. Thus, the door panel is meeting the 30-minute test standards for Flame Spread, Smoke Developed, and Fuel Consumption to achieve the FRS designation by Underwriters Laboratories. The fire-retardant treated plywood carries a Class 1 or "A" rating which is recommended for areas where fire hazards are most severe. Materials with the lowest rate of flame spread (0-25) are classed by all building codes as Class 1 or "A". Flame Stop’s spread characteristics have been tested and approved by the following standards:

• UL 723 Class A or 1 Rating

For energy savings, One-Touch’s panel is fully insulated with aluminum covered foam board with R-10 rating.

• installers will not have to run any wires as it operates with a remote below and a fixed toggle switch in the attic.

NOTE: For a given ceiling height, the Overlap can be reduced by adding one more sliding section so that the number of steps per section is decreased. One-Touch can also be configured for installation where the height of ceiling to attic floor is greater than 10.05”: Customer/Contractor needs to provide that height for proper configuration of One-Touch.
