Radians Type R Class 2 Self Extinguishing Mesh Breakaway Vest
Radians SV45-2 is our economy 5-point breakaway vest with three pockets. The breakaway feature allows the worker to quickly shed the vest if it becomes entangled in moving machinery or caught on equipment. This Type R, Class 2 garment is made from a treated polyester to be self-extinguishing as defined by ASTM D6413 (< 2.0s flameout / < 6" char length). This garment should never be used where an arc flash or flash fire hazard is present. Typical applications would be Ship Building, Steel Erection, Bridge Building, Fabrication, Asphalt Paving, and other applications involving FR hazards that result from errant sparks rather than open circuit electricity or a potentially explosive atmosphere.
