Product Questions

12x20 standalone shed/workshop, 2x4 construction. Roof is pitched 6/4. How much will I need to insulate to a 3" thickness?
Question by: Daniel Foster on Sep 9, 2023, 2:35 PM
To determine the amount of spray foam needed, you will first have to figure out the square footage of the surface area you are spraying. You will then multiply that number by the desired thickness, ex. x3 for 3".

It is not advised to spray foam into cavities that cannot be seen. This foam is designed to be sprayed prior to adding sheetrock.

How much do I need for a 20 x 20 steel building with 9 foot walls?
Question by: Randy Wilburn on Dec 21, 2022, 10:58 PM
To figure out how much material is needed you will need to determine the surface area of what you are spraying in total. Ex. Walls, ceiling, and floor. You will then multiply that figure by the thickness you are interested in spraying. If your surface area is 100 sq ft and you would like to spray 2" thick, you will need approximately 200 Board feet.

A board foot is one square foot @ 1" thick (12”x12”x1”). These 210 kits cover 210 board feet. If spraying 2" thick this kit would cover less than 1/2 of 1 wall.
