Ideal’s patented Heavy Guardrail is built using 6” schedule 40 steel pipe rails and 4” schedule 80 steel pipe posts. The strongest guardrail on the market, our product can withstand hits from a 12,000 lbs. forklift traveling 8 mph. Heavy Guardrail is sleeved in a durable HDPE plastic, requiring no maintenance or painting.
Unlike traditional-welded or bolt-down systems that require the rail to be replaced after an impact, our unique design can withstand multiple collisions from forklifts in all high traffic areas. Upon impact, Ideal Shield’s Heavy Guardrail distributes the shock throughout the entire section, resulting in zero deflection.
Ideal Shield’s Heavy Guardrail arrives fully assembled, making it easy to unload and install while saving you time and money. Railing is available in a variety of sizes, heights and mounting options. Manufacturing the system in our facility in Detroit allows us to make custom protection for any facility.
