Seal Spray Foam Sealant for Flame, Smoke, and Sound - 24 oz. Cans

One-component polyurethane spray foam sealant is an air humidity curing pre-polymerized mixture in an aerosol can. Cured foam is a good temperature and sound insulator, and has strong adhesive properties and has a fire rating to B2 (DIN 4102 -1). Adheres well to most building materials, with the exception of Teflon, polyethylene and silicon surfaces. Cured fire foam spray is sensitive to UV-light and direct sunlight.

The fire rated expanding foam is used for installation of doors and windows, insulation and fixation of tubes, filling of holes and gaps, fixation of wall panels and roof stones, and for thermal insulation.

Application Conditions:
Air temperature during application 41°F to 86 °F, best r results at 68° F. Can temperature during application 50° F to 77° F, best results at 68 °F. Surfaces must be clean from dust, loose particles and oil before the flame seal spray is applied. Substrate should be moistened as the foam expands due to the moisture. A moistened surface ensures better results. Cured foam can be painted.

Application Instructions:

  • Hold the fire block spray foam can in upright position, turn the gun to the can by holding the gun handle with one hand, and turn the can with the other hand. Make sure that the gun is not pointed to other persons when turning it. The can must not be screwed to the gun with the valve upside down or by turning the gun on the can.
  • After fixing the gun, shake the can well at least 20 times. The foam output can be adjusted by gun trigger.
  • Substrate should be moistened as the spray foam sealant expands due to the moisture. A moistened surface ensures better results.
  • At low temperatures foam can must be warmed before work in warm room or water. Temperature of room or water must not exceed 86°F.

Cleaning:
Uncured fire foam spray can be removed with acetone, cured foam only mechanically.

Storage conditions:
Can must be stored and transported in vertical position. Store in a cool and dry place. Store at temperatures 41°F to 86°F. Aerosol can must not be stored at temperatures over 122°F and in direct sun. Storage life 12 months.

Safety Regulations:
Spray foam sealant can contains diphenylmethane 4,4-diisocyanate. Dangerous when inhaled. Irritates eyes, skin and respiratory organs. Inhalation of gas may cause allergy. In case of eye-contact rinse thoroughly with water and seek medical help. Do not smoke during work! Make sure that there is good ventilation, use protection means when necessary. Keep out of the reach of children. Detailed safety information is available on safety data sheet (SDS).
