PS Industries EdgeHalt® Aluminum Ladder Safety Gates
The Ladder Safety Gate is a self-closing swing gate, which is economical, reliable, easy to install and closely matches the railings and their dimensional requirements provided for by Federal OSHA. Ideal for elevated platforms, mezzanines or equipment, and anywhere there is an opening in your railing system, which is accessed by ladders, stairway or ships ladder. The Ladder Safety Gate is an OSHA and ANSI compliant, self-closing swing gate that adjusts to fit your opening size. Reversible swing direction. When installed, this gate protects elevated platforms, mezzanines, ladder ways or anywhere there is an opening in your railing system. Installation is simple, requires 1/2" wrench. Self closing aluminum safety gates ship fully assembled, including standard mounting hardware for round pipe (up to 2" O.D.) and square tubing (up to 1.5" x 1.5" O.D.). If mounting to angle iron, flat bar, or non-standard railing, gate bolts directly to railing (hardware not included) or by purchasing and using a 'no drill' adapter bracket kit. Features:
- Gate Arm: 1-1/4" square, aluminum tubing. Minimum dimension from top of gate arm to bottom of gate arm to be 22-1/4".
- Mounting Bracket: Exclusive Universal Mounting Bracket, stainless steel, to fit railings up to 2" O.D. Bracket is adaptable to bolt to flat surfaces, i.e. angle iron, flat bar, wall surfaces, etc.
- Hinge Plate: Full Height aluminum Hinge Plate provides for gate adjustment of 3-3/4". See sizing minimum and maximum dimensions.
- Hinge Springs: Torsion type, stainless steel. Includes a minimum of two (2) springs per gate, housed within hinge pivot.
- Support Block: to be UHMW with stainless steel hardware.
- Finish: On all exposed gate surfaces to be aluminum, mill finish, welds unfinished. Note: Mounting Brackets are stainless steel.
- Gate Operation: Allows for 180° travel. Gate swing is reversible by inverting or rotating.
