- SUPER COOL SOLUTIONI am building a beach sunroom with an 8 foot loft. I saw wooden alternating stairs at a home in Costa Rica and when this project came up, I started to do some research. Industrial was the best pricing (because they were charging a few hundred for shipping vs. a few thousand from Laperye themselves). It is excellent! The builders have never seen anything like it and it works great, taking up less space, yet with a very safe, study feel. It is "industrial chic" and I am hoping the aluminum will hold up against the elements since we are directly on the beach. I am thinking of buying another one, only short, for a step up for the lounging platforms.
