The Lapeyre Alternating Tread Stair offers a cost-effective, secure alternative to vertical ladders and steep stairs.
The STEEL alternating tread stair utilizes a three stringer design with alternating treads that weld to the stringers.
Includes handrails that are bolted in place during the installation process.

HANDRAIL OPTIONS:
Standard Handrail: Extends 42" above the top landing of the stair and is used on most stair applications.
Optional Handrail: This shortened rail extends 5Â3/4" above the top landing of the stair and is designed for use within a roof hatch or a hatch with a standard 12" curb. This is the most commonly used option for stairs going through an access hatch.
Flush Handrail: Rail terminates flush with the top landing of the stair. This rail is the least common and is used inside of access hatches with little to no curb.
*To reduce vibration, stairs in excess of 15' (4.57M) may require customer supplied sway bracing. For vertical heights in excess of 15' (4.57M) an intermediate platform with two stairs of equal height is recommended.
