A crossover platform allows a person to safely walk over an obstacle or hazardous area instead of having to go around or through it. Crossovers can increase productivity as well as safety by improving access to hard-to-reach areas. You can select the parts needed to create your own specially configured U-Design crossover by following the steps below.

Step 1: Select Ladders by Height and Incline
Choose the right ladders by determining your required height clearance, then select the ladder that has a greater clearance height from the table at right. U-Design also offers ladders in 3 different inclines to accommodate different available floor spaces.

Step 2: Select the Bridge Span Platforms
The 20” and 30” bridge spans can be repeated or combined to create spans up to 90” long. Choose the combination of spans to exceed your required clearance width.

Step 3: Select the Configuration
Turn platforms allow you to create various configurations other than a straight crossover. These configurations and the number of turn platforms required are shown in the image labeled "Designing a Crossover".
