Oil spills in the oceans from accidents and other causes are a major pollution threat. A variety of solutions, such as skimmers, barriers, chemicals and burning are used to collect and/or remove the oil with varying degrees of efficiency. The majority of solutions do not have the capability to collect petrol and diesel and these are often just left to evaporate into the air.

Automated and highly effective, the UltraTech Ultra-SurfCleaner is a skimmer/separator hybrid that represents a solid contribution towards managing the global water surface pollution problem.

The Ultra-SurfCleaner technology is based on gravimetric separation, collecting both the carrier fluid and the top layer substance – allowing up to 100% separation of the top layer substance, and a separation capacity of 8,000 liters (2,113 gal) per hour.

If your facility or crew has to tackle the challenge of cleaning oil spills, the UltraTech Ultra-SurfCleaner is the kind of durable and easily maintained investment that can save you hundreds of man hours via a self-managing solution consisting of only two moving parts. Disposal costs are also mimimized since the oil is up to 100% pure and recyclable.

The Ultra-Surf Cleaner has been developed through years of extensive research in close co-operation with customers, so we know it's been proven to work and guarantee its quality and durability.

The Ultra-SurfCleaner’s three-step process:

Step 1: Removal - The propeller creates a negative pressure, causing the water with the oil on the surface to flow into the Ultra-SurfCleaner.

Step 2: Separation - Deflection disks force the oil and the water to the periphery. As the flow velocity drops, the oil is forced upwards to the ceiling while the water is forced down towards the propeller and the outlet. Separation of the oil from the water is up to 100%.

Step 3: Recover - With the water acting as a piston, the oil is discharged at the rate of up to 8,000 liters (2,113 gals) of pure oil per hour into an external storage tank.
